Today is September 11, 2012. That is an important date on which to take a moment, forget about iPads and such, and remember those who lost their lives on that horrific day now 11 years past. As a resident of the National Capital area, I can say that I shall never forget that day.

With that in mind, it almost seems wrong that I should move on to the topic not of today, but of tomorrow, September 12, 2012. But, it must be done, sorry. And that IS going to be a day where it will be very hard to forget about iThings, as tomorrow Apple holds what is by now a long held tradition of fall product introductions. And while this is an iPad-focused blog, I can say that I would NOT expect a new iPad to be announced tomorrow. No, tomorrow is all about Apple’s most important baby, the iPhone.

So please don’t be disappointed, like so many “analysts” and investor likely will be, when the mythical iPad mini does not appear tomorrow. But take heed, for I do believe a 7.85″ (or so) iPad mini (or whatever it will be called) will indeed come sooner, rather than later… we’ll just have to wait another month or so.
