iOS 8 is Coming Wednesday… Wait.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 17, 2014, a new version of Apple’s iOS operating system for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches – iOS 8 – will be released. And I’m going to advise something I don’t often: wait to upgrade for at least a few days. And if you do upgrade in the next couple days, when the installation asks you if you want to upgrade to the new “iCloud Drive” feature, select the “Not Now” option and wait that out. The real reason for an iPad mini: Kids and Education. I’ve been thinking along these lines for a couple of months now. Anyone who’s ever watched a five-year-old kid handle and drop a full-size iPad knows why a smaller iPad would be a great thing for kids. As a plus, their hands are already smaller, so they won’t need sandpaper as Steve Jobs once jibed.
